PNS IO-Link Series

PNS – PN2S IO-Link Linear transducers with IO-Link Interface Strokes: 50 to 950 mm M12 connector outlet Protection degree: IP65

Absolute linear transducers with IO-Link interface

The absolute linear transducers PNS and PN2S with IO-Link interface, seamlessly integrate into network architectures based on this protocol.

IO-Link is a point-to-point communication protocol that enables simplified communication between sensors and Ethernet or fieldbus networks on production lines. It is compatible with most industrial fieldbuses, making it easy to integrate into existing systems.

IO-Link transducers are easy to install thanks to the reduced cabling required by the protocol and the auto-parameterization function of network devices.

PNS and PN2S come with 12-bit resolution (4096 positions) and offer all the typical features of smart sensors, such as the diagnostic function signalling any errors in parameterization, position, and temperature, and the possibility set operating parameters – max position, increasing direction, temperature and position alarm threshold.

The transducers measuring strokes range from 50 to 950 mm. The mechanical fixing is by means of the provided brackets, which can be placed freely along the body. The transducer PN2S is provided with two ball joints at the ends.
The transducer PNS can be provided with feeler pin, ball joints and self-aligning articulated joints for air-fixing, allowing to compensate mounting mis-alignments. Connections are granted by M12 connector.

Thanks to the stout aluminium case which provides high protection against environmental agents, linear transducers can stand applications in severe conditions.
